I'm sorry but I don't see much point to them. Yes, I understand hating on something but wow, do you want a medal for telling the whole world about it? And people who do like the thing, yes it will always irk them even if they do understand that someone has a different opinion.

It's just... I don't see the point in making some big announcement based around negativity. When I don't like something, I prefer to discuss the hate in a less public setting. And honestly, whenever I see someone make a hate stamp, even when I agree with what's being hated on, I can't help but feel that person just wasted their time.

Why not put more effort into the things you love? Make stamps about what you love and have positive discussions with people who agree. Because seriously, what the fuck are you accomplishing by making a hate stamp other than congratulations you're kind of a whiny little shit???

Yes I acknowledge that people will dislike and hate things. For example, I hate the shipping PruCan. There we go, even if PruCan fans are reading this and understand that I don't like the ship, they'll still feel miffed that I feel such a need to announce my hate, right? Is that what people want to accomplish with making hate stamps? Spreading negative feelings about? What's the actual point in that? Are you going to look at yourself at the end of the day and think 'OH BOY I FEEL SO FANTASTIC BECAUSE I SPREAD HATE ONTO A WEBSITE WOOHOO'? I seriously doubt it.

Basically what I'm saying is that it's alright to dislike something, but if you're going to make a big deal over it, that's not going to necessarily reflect well on you as a person. 8/ Besides, you can totally accomplish better things with your talents instead of being a dick.

I've personally like the 'I ship (insert pairing here), but it's okay if you don't' or 'I prefer (insert two characters here) as siblings/family/friends/platonic/non romantic relationship'. Though, I'd like to see more bro ship stamps, too. I'm not talking about just family, but like 'I prefer Vietnam and America as friends!' Kind of stamp.

Though, I don't mind non shipper stamps, but as long as they're not aggressive with. Like my own amusing story.
A Russia x China shipper requested a anti ChiLiech stamp, then posted it in their profile with a gun icon shooting at the said stamp with a note that says 'ChiLiech fans aren't welcome! I'm not trying to be rude!'
The person is a fine example of a pure hater... but I found it hilarious anyway, because she's really that worked on a mere unpopular China pairing that literally only 0.0001% of the fandom ships where Russia x China seems more unsinkable. I highly doubt that oc pairings with popular canon characters like America x Panama or England x Argentina wouldn't beat USUK, RusAme or FrUK.

broship stamps sound good--

GEE THAT ROCHU SHIPPER'S A RUDE LIL TIT oh well

tbh people that spend their energy getting worked up over ships involving ocs need to rethink their lives -  I mean, I don't care if people dislike my Canon/OC ships, but they don't need to go on a hate parade over it. I'm actually amused that no one has made hate stamps for my OTPs yet, rofl

Whoosh Barlalala  HOORAY FOR BROMANCE!
We need more of it!

Eeyup. I refuse to call on her bullshit, because I might make myself into the bad guy and idiot. Plus, she has really crappy Moscow and Beijing ocs (not the NOT Russia x China love children).

Indeed, I've took my exploring the Hetalia oc area, because at least in Hetalia the ocs can be legit and exist for a reason when it's created by the right owner. When I mean by right owner, I mean by a owner that puts effort in their oc and research with blood, sweat and tears. Not the kinds that are "OMG! I MADE IT THIS OC, BECAUSE I WANT HER TO PAIRED WITH A CANON CHARACTER!!"
You and your friends' ocs are the ones that I find as good characters. I've actually see them as country representatives.
I also love your gif reactions to your ocs, too. XD

I'm fine. =3= This journal was triggered by a stamp that someone made basically saying '_____ is shit'. Really, what does that accomplish other than obvious negativity? Sigh.

So was that stamp made by him/her only or was it a request, really?

Well.. Really some people do tend to like.. uhh.. vocalize their hates an' stuff...
But I think its pure rudeness to the fans... are they seeking sympathy or stuffs?

Its your point that they must or just keep those to their selves...
An' am glad you're fine now~ ^^

The person made it themselves, but I find the requested hate stamps even more pathetic, because it's vocalising hate but using someone else as a cover, just so they can avoid the directed hate for their opinion. Personally I'd rather only say I dislike a fandom or character or ship if I'm directly asked for my opinion. I don't see a reason to announce it to the world, nobody would actually care for that.

And btw I was fine before, lol. I'm not upset, I'm just expressing an opinion, is all. =3=

Well yes, you have a BIG point... They think.. Uhh maybe they just want to state their opinions as well like you...//slapped
((wait! whose side am I!?)) Though.. It's kinda upsetting.. I mean, their ways are upsetting an' stuff... I don't understand the feels though, if I see the same post ya' have.. I might have been.. Raging on about it too... ((specially if I'm a fan of that thing they're hating)) I don't like some ships as well.. but I don't buy those "HATE STUFFS" just to vocalize 'em... 'Cuz I know I'll be rude to the fans. So I better keep the hatings all to  meinself...

Oh.. I thought you were angry or stuff...

Totally agree with this. People are entitled to like what they like, and I don't like ruining someone's mood by loudly declaring to the world how much I loathe a character or pairing. If it comes up, I'll give my opinion, but otherwise, I feel that - like you said - everyone's better served by focusing on the stuff they like rather than what they dislike. :/

Exactly. I don't really like to spend too much time on the negative, I've got my personal life for that. I prefer to only state them when asked directly about them, if it actually ever comes into question. It's just, today I saw someone I watch make a stamp saying '____ is shit' and I actually just like, sure, they can hate something, but making a stamp to announce that? Really? What are they trying to prove???

"I SHIP THIS OTP AND I BASH THIS ONE"

That's nice, dear, but soon your yelling will make another person deaf to your opinions.

There ARE people who like a fandom even if the stuff they state are contrary to what the others say.
I just hope this useless stamp trend won't spread like memes and flower crowns (least the latter had some decor-um in it XD)

Yes: It's pointless and seriously, people, that's one of the main causes to fan/paring-wars, internet-bullying, etc. Just.... no. -.-

No: One could~...... state one's dislike for a pairing, opinion, etc. NICELY~~~......... *runs away and hides before angry mob comes and kills me* :iconhideplz:

but here's the thing: you can say you dislike something in a less public manner than creating a stamp. Why waste your stamp-making on negativity? Making an anti-stamp isn't saying you dislike something in a nice way. It's attention seeking. 8/

I've seen so many i mean, there are understandable ones but at the same time there is no point especially when it comes
to pairings like "Anti USUK" i get that the person hates it but some people like me would feel a bit like crap. So yeah i don't see the point of it.

Glad you agree! Like yeah, I'm anti some stuff but I'd rather connect with people on what we like, rather than bitch and moan over hating something. And honestly, it's a turn off if you try to interact with someone on dA if you see they hate something you like, because that already puts a wall up, even if you may actually have lots in common with the other person. Some of my friends are total fans of something I dislike, and that's okay. We all have different opinions, but having an anti-stamp is more likely to drive others away than bring people together in a positive light.

Sometimes when i see a thing with a friend of my mine (she hates France because she's an English twat, i'm a twat but yeah)
she starts to bitch and moan while i try to reason with her or just ignore the fact that she likes to insult that thing or
just take the piss out of me because i'm short tempered (i'm the i don't give a shit
type of person but when someone does it on purpose i explode) so it can get awkward
after i make fun of her thing which she can get offended so it kinda ends it there.
So like what you said about being positive is right i'd rather talking about something really lame than having a negative
atmosphere.

yeah, I don't really like making anti-stamps, anti-art, or anti-anything for that matter. I know that fans are out there and it's best to not tempt with them since I rather not want to start anything but one thing that gets on my nerves is when someone request an anti-stamp.
