Conventioning Today! [AND I'M BACK!]

I'm not as eager as I was in previous years, but I totally gotta wear the SNK jacket to it! I mostly like going there to meet artists and buy prints, but knowing me I'll get a bit of merchandise too. I set myself a lower budget though, because I wanna have money leftover for when I buy a new laptop.

This laptop's webcam quality is shitty though, omg. Gomen for my face.

Either way, I'll update this journal when I get back! It's Armageddon in Wellington that I'm going to, btw. XD I'll be leaving for it once my brother's ready. Usually I go with my bff Erin, but she's got all these assignments and marking to do (she has a job as a tutor for one of the papers at uni) so she wasn't available. But my brother's cool and all, he's been a more tolerable person lately, ahaha.

Okay, so all was well! Much more SNK at this convention, ahaha - and a lot for other popular things like Marvel, Hetalia, Madoka, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, etc. I was one of the few who had a more accurate jacket for SNK (they were selling 'em at the convention and my brother bought himself the jacket and a cloak.

I got to meet quite a few artists such as , who was very lovely to talk to! I already recognised her works from early on in fandom around the time NZ's character popped up. And I also met who is an awesome artist, very well known I think! Either way, I bought a print of APH NZ from ember, and prints of Pokemon/Legend of Zelda/Professor Layton from Ry. All in all, it's nice to meet people who I've seen around online.

Sorry I don't have a good camera to show all of the stuff I got. Aside from the things I already mentioned, I got:

- a print of the Shiganshina Trio from SNK
- a necklace from a designer named Ruby
- a globe necklace from Clockwerk Fashion
- an SNK wall scroll (need to change from my current one, just to be fresh, y'know?)
- from one artist I bought stickers of Danaerys (Game of Thrones), Eren, Levi and Mikasa (SNK)
- and from another artist I got a Danaerys (do you see my GOT character bias yet??), Denmark (APH), Rin and Haruka (Free!)
- Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic [collection two]
- and I got me somePeach syrup for mixing with alcohoooool

All in all though, it was a nice outing! Good fun, saw some things, got some things, and hurrah!
