basically I wanted to draw my Serbia and Kosovo OCs when they were younger and had their neato sibling relationship--
these two kill me tbh, I wish both of them the best with their futures. Nowadays they aren't so close because of obvious reasons. 8I In any case, back when they were younger, Serbia pretty much adopted Kosovo, lmao - got himself a new little sister figure and he was the cool big brother to her.

But they've gone through so much together. Here, these two are much more cheerful, but this was them before the Battle of Kosovo 1389. After that battle, in which both suffered greatly, and with the Ottoman Empire taking over, Serbia and Kosovo's lives and outlooks changed a lot. I feel like both felt a need to toughen up.

My Kosovo OC up until that battle has long hair, but she cut it shorter. I hope to draw her with her shorter hair - she takes on a more boy-ish look for a while as she joins Serbia with his training and becoming stronger. And from there on, along came cynicism and sarcasm for these siblings. 8I But before that, they were more innocent and playful and cute, ugh---
